Today I realized that I may like hard tacos better than soft tacos. Have you ever went to take a big bite of a nice taco, and have all the insides come pouring out of it like an incision was just made in the middle... Well this has happened to me MANY times, especially with my mom's tacos. Anyways, we only had 2 soft taco shells left and tons of hard ones, so I got 2 soft and one hard, when I went to go eat my hard taco I enjoyed the insides not falling out and I like that it actually had alittle bit of taste added to it as well.... So... I think I may like hard tacos better than soft tacos after spending so many years of my life eating soft ones.
On to more important things, I do not believe that I am racist. I know that this will probably cause a reply if I would ever get one from anybody, so I just want to say I find nothing wrong with minorities, and I have a lot of friends at work who are Black, Mexican, Chinese, or of whatever descent.
Anyways... after that disclaimer I find it wrong that Blacks or minorities can have all the pride the want in their race, but as soon as a white person does, it's racism. They have BET, NAACP, and tons more I just can't think of anymore off the top of my head but these channels/organizations are reverse racism if you apply the same standards for racism that are in place for whites against blacks. Having a channel that would refuse to have any whites on it, or if they did, it would be a stereotypical white person, or a white person acting like a black person would be considered racist. Why then, is BET not considered a racist channel? If it was an all white channel it would be considered racist so why are white channels/shows mandated to have minorities in them while channels for minorities do not have to follow these same guidelines. I'm tired of seeing things that are all of one minorities. You never see something that is all white because this is racist.
The point I'm getting at is that I"m proud to be white. I'm not all into white power and yadda yadda yadda or the killing of people. I am just proud to be white and I wouldn't want to be of another other race. Why is this considered racis m in many people's eyes? I want to get a tattoo that is a Celtic Cross which is the symbol for white pride. I do not mean this in a racist way, but I am proud to be white and proud of my race. Why should I be discouraged from doing this because others may take it the wrong way? Now that Michelle & I have broken up I will probably get this tattooed on me. I do not see any reason why I should be discouraged from this considering that people get symbols similar to this all the time. It's not fair that I can't show my pride in being white while minorities do this all the time and it's ALWAYS worse than something a white person would do because the white person knows that any sign of discrimination would be brought to a head and magnitized times a million since it's against a minority. Why are whites so careful about this but minorities do not care at all!?
Historical injustices that admittingly are shameful and incorrect, unmorrale, and wrong have been committed against these groups and I do feel that it is okay for these groups or any group to feel pride in his/her race or ethnicity. What I don't feel is okay is denying certain groups these rights while not denying the rights of all of these groups. It is a social taboo that needs to be removed in my eyes.
I am not racist or prejudice, I am just proud to be white and wouldn't want to be of any other race or descent.
