I'm not sure if I'm the only one that thinks this.. I get the feeling I'm in the minority. For those who watch BattleStar Galactica - the character of Gaius Baltar is generally seen as representing humanity's weakness (sometimes people say the best and the worst) .
He is my favorite character on the show. And one thing I did notice is a lot of people claim that all he is does is ultimately to further himself. While he is a fictional character, and one can't really say one way or the other.
I tend to fall into the camp that thinks he has moments of good intention (trying to save Roslin, what he does on Kobol) but is just incredibly emotionally insecure that he has moments of lapses in which incredibly bad stuff seems to occur.
ITT it varies from writer to writer surely what character he is. But I don't see him as just out for himself...
Odd thing to post, but wtf
