I'm really mad.
why do people have to get all angry and start fights over things that just aren't important at the end of the day?
i am so mad i cant think of anything else. it is driving me nuts.
basically.. today, me and lindze, my best friend, planned to meet at the gym at 10:00, like we normally do. I was late.. about 6 or 7 minutes. I admit i am habitually late. i am late to everything. it is kinda like a curse.. but i am never REALLY late.. it's always less than 10 minutes or so.. and while i have been late to the gym many times, i always apologize and never thought it was important enough to get mad about..
but apparently it is. When i walked in.. at 10:06 exactly.. she is walking up to the treadmill, she gets on, and when she sees me, she shakes her head. I walk up to her and start to joke "What's the shaking head for? you shouldnt be suprised i'm a little late?" But in the middle of that sentence, she cuts me off (rudely) and says "We're in a different locker. Its locker 70."
I was a bit miffed about her cutting me off so abrubtly, but i wasn't going to make a stink about it.. so i just said.. "Uh. OK. see you in a minute."
When i get back, the gym was playing Duran Duran (my favorite band) so i jump on the treadmill next to her and joke "Wow. Perfect timing!" She makes a noise and rolls her eyes (again, very rudely) and i say "Uh.. i was talking about the song." to which she replies with something else rude, i cant remember what it was and i say "What's up, grumpy?" still with a joking tone of voice..
This is when she blows up at me, saying she tired of waiting on me and acting like she waits 20 minutes for me every day or something. I tell her i was only 5 minutes late and she yells (and yes, she was YELLING in the middle of the gym) "It's 10 minutes after 10! You were only in the locker room for 2 minutes!"
Okay, so i think it is kinda stupid to argue about 5 minutes or 8 minutes or whatever.. to me, 8 minutes is nothing to scream about. so i say "Well, you don't have to wait on me.. i never said you had to" and she snaps "I won't wait on you anymore."
I pause, and say "Well you know i've had to wait on you when you are late." and she blows up again, saying something about how she doesn't do it as often as i do.
At this point.. i am so angry that i just get up and leave the gym. She doesn't stop me.
so why am i so mad?
Well, first off.. i don't like to be yelled at. I mean.. who does? mean, before i even say anything to her she is in bitch mode.
I dont understand why 8 minutes of her time is SO important that she has to be mean to me, and cause an argument? Note that when i got there, it was 10:06 and she was already on the treadmill, which would mean she had gone into the locker room before, which would take 2 minutes so in reality she only "waited" for me for like 4 minutes.. OH NO! 4 minutes! that's the end of the world!
I am not saying that i shouldnt be on time.. i know i should. but i am not about to think that it is worth yelling at me in public and placing a rift in our friendship over.
do you think she doesn't do crap that bugs me all the time? Hell yeah she does. She doesn't remember our plans, she sleeps in when we are supposed to go to the gym and i have waited on her for as much as an hour. She changes plans at the last minute because she can't remember that she planned 2 things in one day. Once even, we had plans and she says she will be at my house at a certain time, and HOUR goes by and i call her, and she tells me she was caught up and she will leave right now. ANOTHER hour goes by and i call her and she is STILL at home, so i tell her not to bother coming over.
Her argument is i am late often, while she does those things rarely..so me waiting around for her for 2 hours one day isnt as bad as me being 10 minutes late every day for a week?
well, regardless on who is worse, i dont really give a damn. the point is.. none of it is worth a frienship. none of it is worth being a bitch. period.
wow that was long. i dont really know if i feel better.. i am still kinda mad. i wonder if she will call me first.. i hate to be stubborn, but i really feel like she was in the wrong here and that i shouldnt call her. opinions?

don't call her... that shit's ridiculous... friends shouldn't pitch fits over things so small... it's not like however good she thinks she is, she's perfect... let her cool off, and if she doesn't offer an apology, i'd insist on one... that is just childish!

it's usually the small stuff that gets to people the most... i'm sure she'll come to her senses and you two can make up and have some fun again. but it's always good to vent it out to friends...
