This place has brought me so much peace. The wide open spaces, the deafening silence that so comforting. The absolutely beautiful natural habitats that these animals live in completely undisturbed.. Wild horses, hogs, more alligators than the eye can see, and countless different species of beautiful birds. You'll never go out to Paynes Prairie and NOT see something amazing that you've never seen before. Being able to go to this Observation deck on a daily basis, not even a mile away from my house, is such a blessing. Taking deep breaths whenever stress and life are just too much to handle. When it rains, there are double the amount of animals that come out, there is nothing but endless wetlands. IF you're ever in the Gainesville area, DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT going to either the Paynes Prairie Preservation, La Chua Trail, Hawthorne Trail, Cones Dike Trail, Jacksons Gap Trail, or the countless other trails off of the prairie, or simply the Observation deck that's in this photo.
It's a completely different world than the one we live in. Something everyone needs to experience.. (in my opinion at least)
Than again, this is the hippie in me again.
I love everything about Nature.
You might not, but you'll love this, I promise.
