"where are my balls?!?" aww, poor murray. sorry i can't put a better picture up, but my camera shit the proverbial bed and the oh-so-competent postal service seems to have lost BOTH my new one and the memory cards i ordered separately. how delightful. so camera phone it is until they either find the damn things or i throw a fit to figure out why it's so difficult to deliver packages. it's only their job, after all...

poor guy...sorry, but i wasn't springing for neuticles. as it is i figured i'd get him microchipped while he was under anesthesia, so now my darling little boy is on the grid. big brother is watching over him now...would be nice if i could get a warning when i pick him up without realizing that he had just been playing in his water fountain (yeah, he's a spoiled brat) and then off to the litter box. so i got some nice fresh step-laden paws waved in my face and then wiped on my shirt. gee, thanks. much appreciated. just what i always wanted, smelly gravel in my cleavage. mmm, tasty.
other than that...busy as all hell. working like crazy, when i'm not doing that i'm unpacking and fixing up the new place. it's coming together quite nicely, i must say...and holy crap do i have a lot of shit. it's like a damn ikea showcase in here. me likey modernism. and i'm going to have to back down on that a little with the christmas tree when that goes up, apparently, for Rickrolled likes his trees traditional. no black ornaments for me this year.

saw the decemberists at the new wellmont theatre in montclair on tuesday night...the first time i saw them was down in philly 2 summers ago, with the orchestra as accompaniment. hence, this show was quite a different experience, and without a doubt one of the most amazing concerts i've ever been to. aside from being my favorite band, the decemberists just have such an engaging stage presence coupled with brilliant lyrics and sheer musicianship. (and fine, i want to have colin meloy's babies. just a little bit.) loch lomond opened for them, yet another fantabulous portland band (whyyyyyyyyyyyy can't i move there???) i was really impressed by the instrumentation and the charisma they had. i would recommend checking them out...
as a stark contrast, i'll be seeing the almighty eagles of death metal on monday night, which is going to be a mustache-full bucket of dancing rockin' fun. third time's the charm, right? so does that mean since this is the third time i'll be seeing them that josh homme will actually be playing this time? oh i do hope so, for i would gladly offer to be a baby factory for him as well.
Rickrolled is gonna be pissy that i'm offering up my uterus to rock stars. sigh. in reality, i'm not ready to be a housing facility any time in the near future, so really, i'm just speaking figuratively. dreamily. and if i were to have a kickass rock star's offspring, i'd throw that baby right back at him to keep anyway, heh...
can you tell i'm a little hunger-tired and retarded?
getting my hairs cut tomorrow, for it's a shaggy mess of hell. oh the excitement! and i can find out how much they'll rape me for to get the highlights filled in and redone...why did i have to decide to start doing girly shit like dying my hair legitimately? sigh...
well, i must make myself go look vaguely presentable and non-zombie-esque as i'm meeting up with my brother and his new flame for dinner at queso hut (chili's). i shall ramble on some more soon...hopefully with high-quality photos from my camera that's out there in limbo somewhere.
snarf!

** oh - just to illustrate my nerdiness, 16 years ago tonight (HOLY FUCK I'M GETTING OLD) was my very first marching band championship at giants stadium...don't ask me why the date sticks out in my mind to this day. i guess out of some sick twisted fondness for my wretched obsession with ye olde world of the marching arts. </dork> **
