So i woke up to yelling. The yelling went on for long enough to wake me out of a very deep sleep, and i realized that it was not just the normal random dorm yelling--no, this was sustained and obviously very upset. I went across the hall and opened the door to the suite, where there was a guy standing there screaming. I asked him what was going on and he was like, "My finger! Look what they did to my finger! They stole my fifty dollars!" I tried to get him to calm down and take some deep breaths but he didn't. He did have a cut on his finger, not nearly bad enough to be that upset about but enough to get lots of blood all over both his hands. I was pretty confused, because i thought it was five-thirty in the morning, and that someone had broken in on him at first. He told me not to call the police, which of course i did. Turned out he was trying to buy drugs (excuse me, ahem, "headphones") and the kid just took his money. When he tried to go into the room after the kid to get his money back, the kid slammed the door on his finger. I saw two guys getting arrested, i don't know if the guy who was screaming got arrested too.
It's not really an out-of the-ordinary thing around here, i am sorry to say, although it's usually that a dealer gets robbed, calls the police, and gets arrested for posession. DUH!!

I wish this university provided maid service.

I got two citations from the fire marshal who said my dorm room was a fire hazard. That was annoying.
