sorta irritable but only because i didn't get enough sleep last night. Went dancing, got to sleep around 4 am. It was fun but i was sort of hyper because i haven't been there in so long that i was being over-social, trying to connect with all the folks i haven't seen in a while. Started to annoy myself after a while what with running around like a schoolgirl.
Almost started a fight with this girl (trans but i was thinking of her as "her" so that's the pronoun i'll go with here) who was making fun of how a lot of people there dance. I gave her the finger, right in her face, and told her to make fun of us somewhere else, not here, not on the dance floor. She was all "i'm gonna kick your ass!". I told her not to be a bitch in our club and went back to dancing. I thought she might try to jump me. I wasn't scared though. I knew if she hit first, she'd be kicked out, and if she were lame enough to wait outside, she'd have to get past an awful lot of my friends. She didn't though, and we worked it out.
There was a lot i liked about the whole thing. I liked the fact that i told her off--i felt she was being really out of line and i'm glad i stuck up for me? us?. I like that her friend actually listened to my answer when she asked me what the problem was. I like that my friend stuck up for me in a peace-making way, telling this girl that she needs to understand, people do sometimes act very disrespectfully and that's why i reacted that way. I liked that she was relatively cool about it, saying that she was just kidding around (and that i needed to get the stick out of my ass etc.) I especially liked that after we shook hands and agreed to forget about it, a few minutes later she came out on the dance floor and said, "here, you make fun of how i dance now" and started dancing all goofy. That made me laugh.
good dancing, especially one nice set by a guest DJ. good people, old friends and new friends. even met someone nice in the older bracket, which as one of the middle to older patrons there (its a very young crowd), is always a bonus for me. and i got the cd of sample phtots, with which i am quite pleased. and i found out about a party on saturday. There's a group of my friends who have parties regularly but i missed the last one.
ok done now. have a nice day. . .
