ok so j and i had an argument today. We have a lot of arguments because we are both very opinionated, and think we are right. So today I want to hear all your opinions on who was right, he or I.
He said his mom was selfish when he was 16 because she gave him a curfew because if he wasn't in by a certain time, she would be awake worrying about him. He says this was way irrational and stupid because she trusted him and knew his friends, so she should have just gone to sleep and not worried, and it wasn't his fault if she stayed awake worrying.
[In case this helps, what he was doing on at least some of these occasions was driving for an hour and going to a bar with older people (they served alchohol until a certain hour and then it bacame all-ages).]
At which point i said, it sounded like he was the slefish one. But he just kept saying how irrational she was for setting this curfew, and how "he was right". And he still believes he was right, five years later.
So, i shouldn't have called him slefish and immature. I know i shouldn't have. That was the coffee speaking. But, even if i hadn't said it out loud, i would have been thinking it. . . sometimes i think he is like a freakin' robot, because anything founded on emotion (like his mom worrying), is "irrational".
BLAH!! lol Ohmigawd i am sooo coffee-twitchy. *twitch twitch twitch*
Have a good one folks!!

I don't mean to bash the guy because I'm sure he's cool, but it sounds selfish and all 'poor me'. As in 'poor me, my mom was cool enough to let me hang with friends knowing that i was underage drinking, but she wanted me home by midnight". And hey, he's 16 and with wheels? Was this a car he'd bought, or were his horrible parents guilty of providing him with a form of transportation, too? Someone should call child services
Sorry if that was too biting, I've been feeling a bit sarcazmic. If you're kicking back on the puter later, check and see if I've figured out the web cam thing, I may have it running while some folks are over... could be good, could be bad... only one way to find out really....
