Hey Suicide friends. It has been a while since I have updated my blog. I really want to share with you what has been going on.
I will be honest and share that I have decided that I have been whole-heartedly pursuing my musical career. With that said, I must follow my heart and my guts! I really really want so badly to go somewhere with my career as a rock musician, singer/ songwriter ( I play bass too!).
My interest in becoming a Suicide Girl and going 'Pink' has totaly waned. I have really enjoyed my first year on this site, although I have not been as active as most. There are so many beautiful people here, (yes YOU!). Thank you so much for all the sweet comments and support. I appreciated them and you a hella lot.
I had only a vague idea of what it takes tor eally pursue a career in music. The industry is cut throat, and nasty. It also has great rewards if you play your cards right, are determined, and take the time to learn the business. It has not been an easy road for me. I cannot express the many disapointments of being stood up, and horror stories of many shady people who are involved in this industry. However, I was very fortunate enough to find such a kick assed producer with an awesome studio!
It is one thing to be a legit producer with a professional studio who knows not only the nitty gritty of the business. It is another to claim to be a legit producer and have a studio in the frelling kitchen! LOL! Producers are very hard to find...a really good one that is.
I am very proud of the music we have been creating for the past year and a half. This is quite a ride I am on I must say! I am so happy for this opportunity and experience. The music we have been creating has won my heart, unfortunately more than being a Suicide Girl. I have found that going 'Pink' is not as easy as it may have seemed, and I am cool with that.
Finding other musicians that want to be a part of this rock project has been nerve wrecking! It seems that most people are not as determined. Plus, you have to have a heart of stone to survive! LOL! There is no room for hurt feelings in the music industry!
I have learned so much this past year about myself and just what I am capable of and I am so proud! I guess it this wasn't ' in the cards for me'! I am a rocker chic at heart and I am happy with that. I will use my gift of writing music and song lyrics to touch the hearts of many, ( I hope).
I hope you all keep in touch! MUAH! Rock on!
