Oh my... where to begin. We had the "party" last night... well I guess it's really yesterday night since it's past 12 my time... so we'll compromise and I'll say... we had the "party" on Saturday night. It was really fun. I guess it wasn't much of a "party" as much as a "get together" though. Chris had his two friend Kevin and Tilly up and I invited Autumn, Samm and Amanda, but Autumn ended up not coming. I'm really glad that I invited Amanda though, she came over on Friday to borrow a pair of my shoes and I did it at the last minute. Not only did she show up with more liqour, she was kickass as normal!
We started drinking around 8:30, which is also about the time we started trying to play games. We started with Bullshit, which I won(!), then we tried Texas Hold 'Em, but Samm wasn't understanding how to play so we stopped, this was about the time that Amanda showed up, at which point we took a break and then tried to play Dirty Minds before the boys decided it was lame (cause the girls kept winning) and went to Wal-mart to buy a new game (don't worry, at this point Tilly hadn't had anything to drink so he drove).
The game that they bought was called 'Chicks vs. Dudes' hilariously sexist... I don't say that often... the girls had cards that had questions about sports, politics, history and 'guy' stuff and the guys had questions about love songs, pop culture, housework, and 'chic' stuff. What I love though is that, everyone knew a little bit from each card. So it'd be a 'chic' card and the girls would get a question like 'What state quarter features a buffalo on it? - A) Montana, B) Colorado, C) Kansas' It's Kansas... I work in retail and I think those quarters are the ugliest things in the world... and the guys would be scratching their heads the whole time. Then the guys would have a 'guy' card and it'd be something like 'What is the blind that goes at the top of a window?' and I'd be staring at the card in amazement going 'I never knew that.' *laughs* It was so much fun. No one actually won though, the game went on for forever. We started playing that at like 10 and didn't stop until around 2.
I'm kind of regretting inviting Samm though, because she's kind of a drama queen when she's drunk. She kept 'going outside for fresh air' in an attempt to get us to pay attention to her, because she didn't like the game. So I kept having to go outside and sit with her, because at first I was generally concerned and after that, because I was morally obligated. I will say, she did give us two excuses to go out and smoke though, I don't normally smoke, but I had a couple drags on Chris'. Then when she would be inside she'd pout and lay on the floor and not participate in the game and it was a big mess. She kept saying that she was going to drive home too, so I hid her keys. I do not let my friends drive drunk, I just don't think that's cool! Even then she kept saying she was going to drive home, it irked the hell out of me. *sighs*
Finally at around 2 I cut everyone off since by then everyone was really drunk, including Chris who has the highest tolerance in the world. So we put Amanda on the couch, Samm in my bed, Kevin and Tilly in sleeping bags in the living room and Chris and I took his bed. Sadly he was too drunk to have sex. *laughs* I probably was too, if we're being honest. At the end of the night though I could function just fine. I really didn't drink that much, three pretty strong drinks over the span of the night. Enough to know that I shouldn't operate heavy equipment, but not enough to lose the ability to speak coherently.
Anyway, I woke up at 7 to be to work at 8 and then I went to my old high school's chorus concert, because we have a tradition where every year for the last song we do 'May You Go Forth In Peace' and Mr. Bowen invites all the alumni up on stage to sing with the rest of the chorus. It's a tradition that got started my senior year and I love it. The concert in general was sadly sub-par. However, it was fun to go and see everyone again. Except, he did senior recognition and I realized that at this point everyone I know in the chorus is graduating this year. I've only been out for two year dammnit! *screams* I don't want to be getting old this quickly! *laughs* Just kidding. Anyway, then I came home, watched a Simpsons episode and took a nap with Chris. I just woke up about an hour ago and decided to post an entry and then go back to sleep.
Exams start tomorrow... today if you want to get technical again. I have my Fitness and Wellness test first... then I have one final every day after that.. *pouts* Spanish is Tuesday, English is Monday and I don't remember the rest of the schedule after that, but I know it's not going to be fun.
I'm going back to bed now... the diagnosis is that in general this weekend has been a blast! Hope all of you had similar experiences.
*edited to make it easier to read and to say sorry that it's so long.
