I am starting a ferret revolution!!
I want a ferret! Friends of my parents have one and it's so fun, it almost got stuck behind the kitchen cupboards. I know they smell a bit but they're so much fun and easy to take care of. I'd just have to fix up an enclosure outside for it and remove my housemates sense of smell.
