Happy Halloween for 3 days ago everyone! Ok, maybe you celebrated Halloween on er, Halloween but what the hell, celebrate it again!
Anyway,I was lucky enough to have my new E.P come out for Halloween on Metanoia which was quite nice timing. It's called "Symptoms of the Ornate and Radial" and features, should you wish to listen, 10 tracks of sonic sounds by me made by things that make sound come out. Should you be wanting a more sensible description which I'm not very good at, it's fairly sombre/sad in feel, maybe dark with exciting things like reverb, rhythm and sometimes decaying voices from people who only live inside little radios. Compatible with most human and animal ears, I think.
The tracks are
01 - Cibachrome Face
02 - Bottled Aura
03 - When It Rains Pyrocat
04 - Foil
05 - Architeuthis
06 - Opal Severance
07 - Tolophentric
08 - Flux Coloured Veins
09 - Learn Arc Stability
10 - Left At The Shore
and it's available free here
I was also lucky enough to be doing soundtrack work for film maker extraordinaire antenna who has uploaded 2 short horror films you really need to see. These are "The Twitching hour" and "Hay fever". One of those directors who deserves major fame and riches. Bah, stupid world!. Go watch them and his other films available here
I was thinking the other day about the best kind of aquarium, which has to be a giant cylindrical pelagic tank with a big shoal of herring that swim en mass around its circumference. The viewer stands in the centre and is effectively surrounded by the constantly shoaling, tireless fish. A bit like this image
but with fish of the same species as you get a better display of their inbuilt instinct to shoal in perfect sync. I've stood in one. It's an amazing feeling and very immersive, it's so peaceful that you feel you want to meditate for hours in its centre but security may interrupt that unfortunately. So it's a nice thing to think about some days, I've found it particularly good for forgetting about shouty crazy customers who want to kill your head off and then sell it back to you for an inflated price.

this is almost a haiku
just one syllable off
You are just as bad as everyone else...and I thought I was the one comin in here, red-faced , looking up people's noses who won't talk to me cause I have not been here in quite a while (But so far? Hels and @^+, now yourself included, have actually made me look not quite as bad, or is it the other way around...? Hmmmmmmm.)
Anyhow...Blah,Blah,Blah.
When are you going to tell me what it is like being a working stiff?
hehe.
