oh tattoos. i've been aching for another one so bad, but i lack the funds to do so. i know what i want though. i've been thinking of new ideas for quite a while and these are some of the ones i know i want for sure.
Apsara dancers:
i love apsara dancers. i've always wanted to be one, but was never able to learn as a child, but mum couldn't find a place for me to learn when we were in cleveland. nevertheless, i find them to be absolutely beautiful, and they are highly revered in my country. i want this on my lower back, below my lotus flower.
Strength, in Khmer script:
this is going on the back of my neck. mum always told me to be strong and keep my head up. she reminded me constantly growing up. so now that she's not here to remind me everyday, i'm getting it permanently stuck to me.
Lotus tree of life:
i want this on either my ankle or my foot. it probably won't look exactly like that, but that's the general idea. i've always wanted a tree, and i think they are beautiful. they hold so much life, so much meaning.
Lightning bolts:
it won't look quite like that, but you get the idea. i'm getting two little ones, one behind each ear. i've always been fascinated with lightning and storms, hence the reason i'm becoming a meteorologist. getting these for my love of weather.
Owl:
Dree had this picture up in her blog, but this is kind of what i'm going for. my friend is currently in the process of designing it for me. i'm so excited. but i love owls. they're such beautifully mysterious creatures. this will be on my left ribcage/side. and it will be huge.
i also want to get some Elvish script somewhere, probably down one of my legs, but not quite sure what i want it to say yet. i love love love Lord of the Rings, and was fascinated with the Elvish language.
it's going to be several years before i get all this shit done. i can't wait though. it's gonna be sick.
