june 22, is now officially george A romero day in pittsburgh.
shawn and i had such an amazing time in pittsburgh. we met awesome people, we saw tom savini, george romero, and quentin tarantino. there were also some cast members from the movie.
before i tell you how it all went, i have to say, what a beautiful fucking city pittsburgh is. i am not kidding, it is so clean and not very congested, and just really nice.
ok, so it started off with us meeting my pal chris at the pre-party at cafe euro, where i met his pal tim, both awesome guys. it was very crowded and people were hounding all over tom savini, george romero, and quentin tarantino, shawn and i thankfully were not that desperate, and just watched as people made asses out of themselves.
after that, we all walked to the beautiful byham theatre, where the premiere was held. this place was huge, and just amazing.
the movie was great (of course) i was a little worried i wouldnt like it, cause im really a zombie purist, but it was really good. go see it, it's got a huge amount of nasty gore, which shawn and i love.
after the premiere, i would have to say the best part of the night for us...we got a ride to the after-party, at dejavu lounge, in a fuckin hearse!!! it was completely modified, it roared like a fuckin lion, and it was just the coolest thing we've ever done.
the after-party was really cool. there were some hot girls there, but i think they just wanted to get close to the big guys, so that sucked. but thats where everyone kinda just hung out and chilled for a bit, which was cool. and they were showing night of the living dead on mini tv's.
oh, and one of the weirdest things that i've ever seen...micheal fuckin jordan came in for all of 3 minutes, got one pic taken, and than just left as randomly as he came. he wouldnt take a picture of me, but he rubbed my back, which i felt was a little inappropriate.
than after the after-party, we got a ride back to our car in a fuckin stretch hummer, i felt like an asshole being in one, but that was the only way we could get back to our car. it was so wierd being in that fuckin thing.
