Quietly and unwittingly, I've become sort of a mascot for the gym I frequent.
I don't bench the most weight or anything. I just sweat, a lot.
I spend about three hours a day at the gym. Which, I'm told, is overdoing it.
I don't do much socializing, yet people tend to want to talk to me. Under any other circumstances women usually ignore me, but I get a lot of looks. Apparently I have a small but fervent teenage fan club. I can't begin to tell you how strange that is.
I spent a considerable portion of my life trying to break down my sense of self in order to free myself from the burden of self esteem. And now I'm not quite so invisible as I thought I was.
