Updating is sooooo 2006.
Thankfully I'm feeling retro.
I'm still alive, kind of breathing. I still have zero important things to speak of. I'm just still in wonderment of surviving the past year. I was laid off by not just one, but two psychopaths in the same year. Yet I'm still here, I have yet to become a hobo......although it is tempting.
I don't have any New Year's Resolutions. But I do have a request. People younger then me....please stop aging. You're making me feel old.
maybe I'll think of something more interesting to say tomorrow. Because you know what they say...2007 is the new 2006.
oh...one thing....I have yet to find a music list on any news site that I approve of. I'm sorry....but not everything that came out in 2006 was good for ass shaking. Ugh. Pitchfork got it somewhat right be including the amazing albums of Yo La Tengo, Boris, and The Thermals. But come on....the Cat Power album was over inflated and horrible. It was far from one of the best albums of the year. And I'm still offended by the lack of inclusion of Bonnie Prince Billy, Caleixco, The Black Heart Procession and Nina Nastasia. I mean the Bonnie Prince Billy album was brilliant! And even the free album that was packaged with it was great! And the Black Heart Procession....they got rid of the whole theme album idea and came back with a strong set of songs. Argh. Screw you music people.

Look at this way with 2006 being as rotten as it was, you'll appreciate 2007 that much more. That's what I've been telling myself when I realized 2006 just couldn't get any worse. If anything, you can look back at it and go "... yeah, I survived that and now I can take on anything."
