...since I know you've all been waiting breathlessly...
The audition went ok. It was kind of like getting a tooth drilled with loud dance music being played in the background. I was nervous, but felt better when I realized I knew a damn lot about the cosmetics line and I had previous makeup experience when a few other candidates didn't. I auditioned with a part-timer to be. She lucked out and got someone in the chair after 15 minutes of harrassing people. I was not so lucky. I had an 11am slot on a Saturday on July 4th weekend working against me. It took me and hour and a half of agony before I got someone to sit down. It was fine from that point, but they were not impressed with my speed (even though, SERIOUSLY it was not my fault, I mean, I had women RUNNING from me when I'd ask them to look at our products)
I'm my own worst critic. Everything might be hunky-dory but I'm seeing it as horrible and terrible. I think in my head it went horriblely wrong, but the rep was trying to tell me otherwise. Maybe she was being nice. who the hell knows. She told me to call her this morning to let her know if I still wanted the position and wasn't traumatized. I called and said I was definately still interested and I apologized for anything I might have done incorrectly and that I was willing to work damn hard for them.
....now its in their hands....I just sit and wait.
Blah...I hate this shit.

shadyvito:
Sounds like they are stil interested if they asked you to call back. If they didn't like you they would of gave you the old "don't call us, we'll call you"! I think you're golden, good luck.

I wishing you lots of luck..and really a half hour of not getting someone to sit down isn't bad..it really isn't..It takes alot of guts to sit there and be like hey you get yer ass in my chair and let me make you pretty. Or well something like that.
