Thanks for all the nice words. I've been a big eeyore-type person lately. I think I need more hugs or something.
I stayed home from work today...and not even for anything fun. Last night during knitting circle I felt horrible. I was chilly and sweating and queasy and light-headed. I felt almost like I was getting the flu, even though earler that day I felt like I was finally getting ver my cold. I woke up this morning...was fine, planned on going in, but the more I walked around and stood up the more dizzy I felt. So I stayed home. Because...I was only getting paid for 6 hours, and honestly, that little bit of money was not work feeling crappy all day over.
Now I'm bored. Well, I do have a lot of knitting to do, and movies to watch, and iced tea to drink....but man...what I wouldn't give for plain yogurt with fruit and granola.....my favorite Bonte treat! Plus, I don't know....I like having alone time, but I like hanging out with Apocalypse_dude more. He should come home, right now.
Man....being home because your actually sick is so lame. Especially when I have visions of days playing hookie in my head for this summer. Blah.
I hope I feel better tommorrow. If I really do have the flu I'm going to kick someone in the shin!!!!
oh..something positive!
A friend of mine came in the shop yesterday. She's the owners friend but we've become friends as well. ANYWAY...she was getting rid of yarn she got as a gift. So this absolutely lovely lace weight silk fell into my lap! 1000 yards baby! Hand-dyed in reds/purples/oranges. The way it was dyed it looks multitonal, so the color kind of blends into this reddish/purplely color. I already have my shawl picked out. It involves this MASSIVE chart. I have to scan it and put it in here so you understand just how complicated knitting directions can be. I know I can do it, I just can't be lazy about it. I can't carry it around with me because there is alot going on in almost every row.
Sigh...
Hand dyed Lace weight silk is my downfall. I just can't get enough of the stuff. Silk just seems so vivid, it takes color so well! My silk skeins put my wools to shame. I have expensive tastes...what can I say.
Other positive note.....X-men is finally out! I cannot even explain how excited I am.
Cough cough cough......I need to go lay down again.
