I had to take down my depressing post eventually, no matter how much I didn't want to.
I've been ok. I broke down last night before bed, but I've been keeping busy. I worked at the yarn store, and I'm probably going to pick up hours today and tommorrow and Saturday too. Its a fun, low stress job. I don't make alot, but its nice to actually like what I do for a change. Plus, I love talking to the owner of the store, we get along really well, so its always interesting talking to her.
Rosie's Yarn cellar
I have to pimp my home base.
The new picture is recent. The night I went to see Mariza earlier in October. The shirt I'm wearing, its this really great orange rust color. I wore it to my mom's funeral mass. She always complained that I looked good in color but never wore it, so I wore it for her. She never got to see me in it, but I know she would have loved it. Its the same color I want my wedding dress in eventually. Burnt orange is the best!
Friday I'm getting my knitting tattoo, then I'm going to hang out with some friends. We're going to see Japanese punk bands...yay!!! The busier I am, the happier I am.
My boy, for my birthday, bought me a bunch of red roses, two cards, and he's paying for my tattoo...isn't he the sweetest!!! And he took me out for vegan Chinese food at my favorite restaurant. And we're still looking for a really good pie, since I wanted an apple pie instead of cake this year. So my birthday is continuing on into this week in lieu of recent events.
I call my dad everyday. He's been keeping busy, doing all the paper work for my mom. I'm worried about him though. I can't even fathom what its like to live with someone for 31 years, take care of them 24 hours a day the past year, then suddenly they are gone and your all alone. For all the problems my parents have had, I know that he really loved her, and he just feels lost without her. I promised my mom I would keep in touch with him and take care of him for her, so I am.
I'm getting the sore knot in the back of the throat...so the tears are on there way. I need to do something, since sitting in the quiet house ain't cutting it.
Sorry for the unhappy updates...but you know how it goes...she was an awesome lady, and I miss her everyday.
Damn...its November already? How is the year over?

Oh sweetheart... *big hugs* You look great in burnt orange - it's such a lovely colour. I'm glad that you're having a good time at the yarn store - it's always nice to have a job you don't hate!

The secret to making an awesome apple pie is to use half pears half apples. Try it, it's so good.
