This past week, I got a super spur of the moment message from @lady asking if I'd be able to make it to Indiana in three days, inviting me to the midwest shootfest that was taking place there. Honestly, I didn't think it would be possible.. However, somehow, the stars aligned and I was able to make it! I carpooled with @arriane who is an absolute DOLL. I am SO damn fortunate to not only have had the opportunity to meet her, but to be her co-pilot and chat buddy for our roadtrip. I instantly felt at ease with @arriane, like we had known each other forever. Hitting it off so effortlessly with her just felt like a sign of great things to come for the weekend ahead. We arrived at the house just after midnight and everyone was sleeping, except for @lady who greeted us and helped carry my heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs for me (SO SWEET since she knew I was still on weight restrictions post-op). We smoked a bowl together and went to bed, excited for our busy next day and to meet everyone in the morning.
Waking up the next morning was so exciting! There were GORGEOUS women everywhere! It was so exciting watching shoots happening all day long in every corner of the house. The group of women here were the nicest, most supportive, humble, chillest, sweetest, most laid-back group I've ever spent time with. It was such an overall positive experience!
It's been years since I've shot a set, but guess what? Not only did I shoot a set... I SHOT TWO! (as well as a big surprise!) One with @lady and one with @cersei !!! It'll be quite some time until these come out, but I can't wait for you all to see them!
I think my favorite memory from the shootfest was when me, @sierhaus @dojikko @lady & @cersei were sitting outside while a couple of us smoked, all huddled together in a tiny little spot, trying to hide from the rain under the only covered area. I don't know how we got to the topic, but we began discussing direct translations in English and French of raunchy phrases/curse words/slang. @cersei and @lady were cracking us up!
Also, I've never in my life seen a man fit in as naturally and effortlessly with an entire house full of insanely gorgeous, mostly nude women, as @smashbase did. He is respectful, courteous, kind, and caring.. On top of that, he keeps an almost constant/endless flow of pizza coming directly out of the oven, and in to the mouths of hungry models as well. That fact alone should tell you all you need to know.
Now... Here's my big dose of reality. The real life stuff that creeps in and isn't any fun, but there's nothing I can do about it except try my very best not to beat myself up TOO hard. The ONLY downside for me, was that this was just over two weeks after maaajor surgery for me. So I was still extremely swollen, in a decent amount of pain, and feeling pretty self-conscious about my body. Also, I just started some pretty intense hormones along with a few other meds that alone, make me tired.. But the combination of them together makes me EXTREMELY tired and basically like a zombie. I'm talking -start drifing off sitting up- kind of tired! So that was a pretty big deal/obstacle for me and kept me from being as social as I really would've liked. BUT, hopefully by the time the next shootfest comes around, I'll be more adapted and more myself! I guess that's the best I can hope for considering I have no choice but to stay on these meds for... Well, FOREVER!
Nevertheless! I had the best time and made memories I'll never forget with some of the most incredible women I've ever met. Thank you all for the best time! And thanks to SG for bringing these amazing opportunities and people into my life ❤
