Ok, so yesterday was Mother's Day, and did I have a mother of a day! I wanted to go camping Sat. night before they close down the forest for camping because of the fires. Well my son accidentally threw a dart at the back door and shattered the window. So I spent the remainder of the evening picking up glass from the cracks of the tiles where my husband is tiling the floor. So Mother's Day... I decided oh well I didn't go camping, so I will take my kids up to the mountain and go fishing, horseback riding, and just have a nice day away from it all.
WELL....
Not even half way up the mountain, the truck started acting up. Guess what?? My lovely husband, who overpaid his grandfather for this piece of crap truck we now have, has never checked the oil!!! So, luckily my friend was following me, and she ran to the store to grab some oil. We put in 3quarts of oil, waited, then started up again. We got maybe a 1/2 mile further and had to stop again because the truck was overheating!!!. So she took my kids back home for me while I waited for the truck to cool down. The truck made it back home with no problems. ( Although it isn't working again today
)
So, I got a bit fumed, got over it (which I always do rather quickly) and just BBQ'd in the front yard. Everything happens for a reason, and I tell you what, I was not meant to go up to the mountains this weekend!
But through all of it, I remain happy, knowing that something great is about to happen, because there's no way in hell all of this crap happened for no reason!!!
Always positive
