Front Line Assembly show last night was awesome and Lancelac and I had a great time. They played some of the classic favorites such as Millenium, Bio-Mechanic, and Neologic Spasm, to name a few. Not too much smoke, very little crowd blinding lights, and lots of energy. Half the crowd was dancing their asses off and that was entertaining also to watch everyone get down. One chick in front of Lancelac fell straight on to her ass which was pretty amusing. I definitely want to see FLA again as i cant believe ive never seen this legendary industrial band before this. Then again, i still have yet to see KMFDM after all these years... This fall when they tour with Combichrist, ill get that taken care of
I had never heard Stromkern before, who were the band before FLA, and they found a new fan last night in me. The drummer was hidden behind equipment so i didnt even realize they had one until half way through their set. DJ?Acucrack didnt impress me as much tho. Most people who i know who have heard them before have great things to say about them, but i dont know, maybe i was just impatient to get past them and move on to the next bands.
Usually i have alot to bitch about the Logan Square Auditorium and how lame of a venue it is, but last night i had a great view for most of the night. Maybe its just because the show wasnt sold out? The stage still needs to be raised at least a foot and expanded to give bands more room to play on tho.
the rest of the week i will be cracking down on freelance work now that ive been partying and putting off for the last few days I will head to the beach one way or another this weekend since its finally going to be back into the glorious 90's
