disclaimer : im gonna write this entry while im at work. i apologize wholeheartedly if i offend any of my female friends, but i was talkin to a friend of mine at the shop yesterday and he said some things that made sense and other things that were just ramblings on.
here i go...
well my friend, who will remain anonymous, has just been dumped. and he was thinking about things. he was telling me that in the animal kingdom, the female of most species is usually the "uglier" one. lets take the lion for example, the male has a HUGE mane, and the femals has none, she is sleeker and doesnt posess, the look of the male. another example would be the peacock. the male has the huge plume? or whatever that big ass things its got back there, and the female has nothing.
with that said, i will move along with the point. most of the girls i know, and some that i have dated, have a pretty clouded vision of themselves. girls that are beautiful, and are very pretty seem to think that they dont look good at all. and it just seems that alot of them are brainwashed into thinking something that is advertised and published is the way things have to be. and ill be the first one to tell them that no, they are beautiful the way they are now. but, they still think they are the ugly duckling, and put themselves through the dieting, the gym time, and the starvation just to look like that other chick in the magazine, you know, the one everyone will forget about in a moments notice.
it brings to mind a funny thing i heard while walkin around santa monica with sevastra. there was a street performer at 3rd street, and he was playin his guitar and just singin along. and then he said, man, look at all these 99 cent chicks. that made the both of us laugh.
dont be a forgotten one.
(addendum)
after having lunch i over heard teenybopper girls talking. or should i say the 99cent chicks. anyhow, they were giggling and talkin about boys. the first question that came out was...is he cute? oh hes really nice and sweet and caring, but he has a big nose and some acne. well, nevermind then, he needs to be cute. yes. this is the kind of thing that gets to me.
