I have been having a lucky week with contests. I tend to win more contests than most people. My friends are always rolling their eyes when they find out I win another contest. Anyway I have been poor these last couple of months, so I havent been able to cut down on a few things like drinking and going to concerts and movies so winning this contest streak could not come at a better time.
Anyway, last week I won a pair of tickets to the Sasquatch music festival at the Gorge. This was a great win, because I wanted to go badly. The festival was amazing by the way.
Anyway, I didnt think it could get any better, but I decided to listen to The End on Tuesday, something I try not to do more than once a week, because I cannot stand the commercials and the music gets a bit repetitive to listen to often.
Anyway, while listening, I happen to hear that the 17th caller wins EndFest tickets for next weekend. I decided to try (I have the number programmed in my phone already). To make a long story short, I won a pair of pit tickets to the show, plus backstage pass to meet Tegan and Sara.
[On a side note, last spring I won a package worth $1800 from The End to be flown down to Palm Springs with VIP passes to the Coachella festival, so I am already eternally grateful to the End]
What the hell am I going to say to Tegan and Sara? I was thinking of bringing my T.A.T.U. Cd to get signed, and just pretend to think that they were T.A.T.U.
Another thing I have been missing out on since I have been broke is SIFF. I have only been able to go to one movie so far but lucky me, on Wednesday, I won an email contest from the Stranger to win passes to see Tropical Malady on Friday. Then just this morning I was listening to KEXP, my usual station, and I was able to win a pair of tickets to another SIFF movie, 9 Songs.
Both of these movies were on my list of movies to see! I am just curious to know if I can win something tomorrow maybe I should hit the casino before the good luck streak ends.
Oh I was unlucky once this week. I bought fries at Burger King. They has a contest where you had to choose one of two Death Star spots to scratch off one of them being a winner/one of them a looser. I picked the losing Death Star spot. Sucks because if I would of chosen right I would have won a small hash brown or a small soft drink

That's awesome. you should put this to your advantage and try and enter everything you can get your hands on contestwise. I've heard of "professional contest enterers" that just enter contests and end up getting lucky over and over, making $70,000 a year.
