Nauseated, watching Blue Velvet, waiting for the hair dye to kick in and for the phone to ring so Steve can tell me all about Ozzy. I am thoroughly sick of this summer, work, tourists, and pretty much everything except the boy and David Lynch movies. (I have never seen Blue Velvet before. Am I weird? I am undoubtably not paying enough attention to this movie right now...)
Told the little mohawked guy that works at Cracker Barrel that Lester Bangs is a better writer than Jack Kerouac when he asked me how I'd liked On The Road. I kinda love random interaction with the other freaky kids around here--the "you're obviously not one of THEM, but one of US," conversations that lead to acquaintanceship and even friendship when you live in a geriatric country club like this one.
I also love chatting with the guys at the tattoo shop--my sister got her wrist tattooed yesterday, and of course I had to go with her to talk to my artist about my design. Interaction with interesting guys who are not Steve--novel concept. Not that I don't want more interaction with him, too, like, ASAP...
yeah, you knew I had to bring it up again.
What should I read when I finish Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung? There are a few books on my list, but right now it'll be time for a trip to the library...or the B&N...
Daniel Robert Epstein got to interview Richard Hell. I am jealous. Richard Hell is way rad. Even if he did costar in Desperately Seeking Susan. Yeah, that's right.
