Yeah, I'm updating.
I just haven't been in the mood for SG lately. I still check my journal and your journals and all of that jazz, but I've been trying to read more, to actually WATCH movies rather than put them on for background noise while I message-board hop, etc. etc.
Also need to get back to working on my French, and re-teach myself how to do math so I can take the GRE at some point. No more excuses. I let another year's application deadlines slip away, and I need to be back in school. Watching my friends collect Master's degrees while I work on bikes is just on my last nerve.
I do like working on bikes, though. Maybe I'll move elsewhere and buy out a bike shop and run my own. Sell fancy-schmancy mountain bikes and BMX bikes and road bikes and even some skateboards and clothing and fun stuff. If I did that I bet I'd never be hurtin' for dates.
I have recently discovered Jeanette Winterson. I don't know how I lasted this long without having read her.
Recommend me a female author. (I'm already into Winterson, Joyce Carol Oates, Maxine Hong Kingston, Virginia Woolf, Wei Hui, and the lovely and talented Miss Emma Forrest, so I need fresh blood.) You could give me a book title, too.
