Did YOUR Halloween involve David Allan Coe? (or at least, a very convincing facsimile thereof?)
Yeah. thought not. That was way rad. I mean, it's easy to say "we're going to cover the Misfits for Halloween." But who the fuck does David Allan Coe? Buncha crazy bastards, that's who. I loved it.
only underscored my need to move, though. One tiny club in Savannah is not enough for me. and much as I enjoy spending all my time alone watching Six Feet Under episodes and movies and hockey, at some point in the not-so-distant future I would like a love life that consists of more than long-distance phone calls. Not that I'm complaining about the long-distance phone calls. I appreciate the thought and enjoy the conversation. I just, well...you know.
Still. First decent Halloween since moving away from New Orleans. The two in Denver and one that should've been in Philly sucked, mostly consisting of my plans falling through.
Nevertheless, kind of in a shitty mood. Maybe a good night's sleep and some breakfast in the morning will cure it. I sort of want to hunt someone down and shoot them. Not even really anybody specific. Just want to take my stress out on someone else.
Somebody should buy me this. It combines a few of my favorite things--Johnny Cash, Shepard Fairey, Joaquin Phoenix...drool. Yes, that's right Shepard Fairey did the posters for Walk The Line. God, I cannot wait for that movie.
If you live somewhere more civilized than South Carolina, do me a favor and check this out. World Can't Wait protests.
