Forget all of what I just said. Except for this: I don't need advice. If you have concrete leads (Hey, I write for xyz and they need someone to do zyx) or something of that nature, or a good suggestion of a place to start, or if you happen to be a resume expert, I'd love the help.
But in general, I'm way too stubborn to take it well when I get a barrage of well-meaning advice from different people, each one contradicting the last. How am I supposed to know which of you are right?
So instead I'm going to go kick the shit out of a punching bag for a while and contemplate business plans. I still want to make Montreal my eventual home, but for now Philly may be #1 on the list for its combination of cheap living, proximity to other cities when I get bored, and my sister's general familiarity with the area. Wonder if I can track down the editor from my defunct magazine and see what she's up to?
Does anyone know of a good font that looks like it's been written in lipstick? I'm not so good with design, but for this project I know exactly what I want.
Also, go buy the new Fiona Apple CD. it is good. make that great.
