Wednesday, July 13th.....time of death .....8:30 AM
..............................RIP Penelope...............................
I will miss you little girl, you were a princess and everyone loved you, espechally me!
Today, I woke up to my mother crying on the phone telling me she had help Penelope in her arms untill she had passed and that she was sorry I had not been there with her. I was sorry too, but death waits for no one I suppose. The rest of the day was spent digging her grave, along with Liam another one of my rats who had died a few weeks ago that had not yet been buried. It was a deep hole, and the ground was very hard...it took a long time to dig. Finally, around 6:30pm
my family and I put the two in the ground and said our good byes. It was sad, but a nice little rat funeral. I will miss those two deeply, they had very strong personalities that brought me much happiness. I have decided that after my remaining three rats have gone I am not getting any more pet rats. It simply is too much for me to handle loosing an animal after only a year or two with them. Next time I get a pet it's going to be a dog or a cat....or maybe a pot belly pig. Something that lives for a while at any rate. That being said, I hope Clement, Liams brother, lives a while longer. I don't think I can handle any more death for a while.
