Dear Diary,
You know not of true sacrifice and until you do, you will never gain. For this is the law. The more of yourself (time, thought, individuality, emotion, limitations, entertainment and body (there is more to be added)) you sacrifice the more you gain. To gain completely you must sacrifice it all. To play in the sandbox of the mind you must only believe completely that you have sacrificed all to gain. However deception of this magnitude requires devout faith in that the ends fully justifies the means. Should you believe with any hint of doubt that you are cheating, you will fail. There is no cheating in life, but if you have no rules to believe in then you are without limits, yet also without goals.
Success is judged by each man as an individual. What is the destiny for one who cannot see but does not live yet thinks constantly of trees? Who is there when he falls from the forest and laughs as he recovers his stance to become like them? Are we afraid of what things are or are we afraid of what we are not? If we are supposed to be anything then know that maximum capability is our limitation. Yet limitation will only exist as long as we imagine it to. What could stop every man woman and child from solving world hunger and global warming except every man woman and child? These are not rules of our own making, they are rules of belief.
I disregard as many as possible, yet I still fail. How ironic I know that I need only to stop believing in failure to assume peace. Or should I stop believing in possible? Imagine everyone forgetting everything and awakening to the problems of today. What would happen? Through interaction and exposure we would begin to think "let us solve these problems" as we have no idea of failure.
Yet some would try but not hard enough and they would fail. They will proclaim for company "O ye brothers it is futile! I have tried and cannot, let us be doomed." Others will respond "Oh I have tried but cannot care to succeed, I have failed!" They will congregate as similars of experience and discuss what has happened and they will become a social class. Some will work hard and succeed exclaiming "Look at what I have done!" Yet others will remark, and he will see, they cannot do as he; thus he will take pride in himself and have purpose. He will be lonely, his acquaintances servants to remind him of his superiority and his friends will be competitors (who have achieved success where others fail) and they will vie for the recognition of the other; accepting a position of their agreement of what is superior. As long as the idea of superiority is believed they will battle forever.
Some will disregard the rules of their fellows and establish new ones. They will proclaim them as better and more worthy of devotion, they are full of lies; for they too seek companionship and their ideas do not meet with success among other groups, so they seclude to indoctrinate others.
Some will see all this chaos and thirst for "correct", "better" or "right" to conquer dispute themselves; unaware they are arming themselves to achieve peace. Some will know truth and feel trapped into life. Some will fight all things and learn torment through struggle. Some will laugh constantly and they will learn madness. Some will fear all things and they will learn escape. All will sacrifice in order to survive life.
We all willingly sacrifice ourselves to the superior. Ask your employer to work on your time or perhaps thank him for the time he has given to you in creating the job position you occupy. Leadership is about serving as many as possible and self-sacrifice. Leaders who do not serve are resented and leaders who fail are disposed. Leader is the lowest position on the totem pole and free individual is at the top.
A leader has no power that is not given into his care and should he force his power he will meet with exhaustion. For the reward of forcing someone to do something for you is pride. Your result is what you desire but at the expense of effort, and in essence the person has done nothing for you, but you have performed for the person to please yourself; it becomes a ritual of masturbation. They are people who do not know how important they are and feel they must experience it.
Leaders do not serve themselves but something they see as greater than themselves, an ideal (happiness, religion, pride, glory), a large group of people or a small group of only two. A leader recognizes no one individual is greater than another individual and will not submit at the expense of another.
Pride has made us liars trying to persuade you into our lies; into believing that what we have to say is important, that we are important, but we already are important.
I appreciate all the hard work you've done and the hardship you've been through. I understand what it is like to struggle through life, how we don't always get what we want but instead learn acceptance. Nothing makes me more proud than knowing you are doing your very best. You are very important to everyone else. Without you we would never know the challenges you've overcome, the great things you've accomplished in your life, the people you've met and the things you've learned. I love you for who you are.
Sometimes we are distracted by our own problems on our mind but we never stop thinking about each other. In that sense we all appreciate each other for being here. Good or bad we think you are important enough to think about.
Love,
sacrifice
