I finally went and saw Star Wars Episode III with the Boy yesterday and it turned out to be better than I thought. Being an avid Star Wars fan, I knew exactly (for the most part) what to expect from the movie and how it was going to end, but I still can't help and feel a little sad; I guess it all plays out to when Darth Vader finds out the news about Padme and his reaction to it. His reaction was shocking too, considering how you see him in Episdoes IV-VI. It's not cry-worthy, but enough to make you sit and contemplate it.
Since I haven't been at work, I've been able to grow out my nails, which has been absolutely fantastic. I had to trim them back today on my left hand because they were interferring with playing my guitar. Oh well. Hey, it's thundering out right now! Still raining, but at least the weather is making things a little different. It was really sunny and warm earlier in the day, but I think that's going to be done with for the next couple of days. It always seems to rain the most in Calgary during June than any other month of the year. Granted, it can snow at anytime of the year too, but that's not the point.
So, the surprise excursion with my mom was actually clothes shopping because she wanted me to feel good about myself by wearing clothes that actually fit me properly. So, I've now ditched my baggy jeans for jeans that *just* fit me and are really tight and actually show off my ass. It's so weird because I haven't worn tight jeans in almost a year now, so its taking some getting used to. I also got numerous shirts and skirts, plus a pair of sandals for the summer.
I still don't have my EI money coming in as Depot is still dicking around and it can possibly take up to two weeks now to see the money I should have gotten in May! At this point, HR Canada is getting directly involved with Home Depot head office in Atlanta (yes, my paperwork has to come in aaaallll the way from the States) because this is getting to be really ridiculous. I'm less than impressed right now.
I'm thinking I might have to take a picture of myself in one of my new shirts because I've got some amazing cleavage. Hmmm......
