(cross posted from my livejournal because I'm lazy motherfucker)
The past few days have been interesting and a bit upsetting.
1. I finally finished this semester, even though I had to stay up until 4:00 in the morning to get it done. It was an incredible high to hand in that last project to know that not only was the semester over, but the program is half over; I'll be graduating this time next year. Ah, freedom.
2. The dog ate another one of my brother's iPods. This brings the total up to two now. Needless to say, my mom is pissed. My brother has more music on his than I do on mine! He's been recently buying music off of iTunes, but promptly paying my mom the cash back. Thankfully, he isn't buying any gangsta rap songs but has focused his music states on 60s, 70s, and 80s music.
3. I got home from my mom's house on Friday and promptly went to check and see if anymore grades were posted. There was only one, and it reduced me to tears: apparently, I got an F in my CADD 202 class. IThis is impossible because I totally rule at AutoCAD and I understood every single concept in the class as I had to use them over and over again in my drafting class. I've sent an e-mail off to my instructor to find out what exactly is going on with the mark as I didn't receive any feedback or marks from him throughout the entire class. This instructor is also my reference for any jobs that apply for, so it doesn't make sense that he'd put in a good word for me, only to fail me in one of his classes. I still want to cry just thinking about it.
4. I went to Cravings for lunch yesterday with the family minus my dad. I should have brought my lactaid with me beause almost all the pastas had a cream sauce with them and I really wanted pasta. So, I settled on a "grown-up grilled cheese sandwich" which had a garlic aioli (sp?) spread, black forest ham, tomato, and cheddar cheese. Damn, it was good.
5. I cleaned the apartment for a bit yesterday in the hopes that Jay would come over. However, he had a crappy day at work and was in a crabby mood. It suited me fine that he didn't want to come over, so I watched the hockey game instead. I've actually watched quite a bit of hockey this year that it's almost disturbing. But, we won and that's all that matters!
6. I couldn't sleep last night. It probably had something to do with how upset I am about my AutoCAD mark and the butterflies building up about Monday. I'm hoping I get a much better sleep tonight.
7. I start my new job tomorrow! I will have my Easy Button in tow, a lead holder c/w lead and sharpener (c/w is an abbreviated form of "complete with" for those who were wondering), an eraser, some pens and my white out thing. I'll probably drag my lifetime supply of trace paper with me later in the week, but I don't know if I'll even need it in the first place. I'm getting unbelieveably nervous and excited for tomorrow. I'll be busing it as I have no idea what the parking situation will be like. I'm hoping that it'll stop raining by then, too.
8. I've been so bothered by the AutoCAD results that I haven't even been able to enjoy WoW. Something is seriously wrong with me.
The goal for today is to gather up my assignments and start the appeal process for my AutoCAD mark. If for whatever fucked up reason I did fail the class, I'll have to retake it through correspondance. Well, that'll suit me just fine because I have all the assignments done (they don't change as the class'll use the same textbook which has the same assignments in them). I was hoping to start this new job worry free. I guess I can't be that lucky.
