I'm back, my darlings!
I'm sure you're all wondering about the Queen concert on Thursday. Well, let me tell you, it was the best concert I've ever been to!
When we got to the arena (the Pacific Colliseum), we had to pick up our tickets from the Will Call because Roger Taylor had set aside tickets from us. At this point, we had no idea where we were going to even be sitting. Well, we weren't on the floor, but we were five rows up from the floor seats right beside the stage! They were quite possibly the best seats in the house!
The concert was not a let down; almost everyone in the audience was singing to the songs and it was a generally happy mood. There was a tribute to Freddie within the first half hour when Sir Brian May came onto the catwalk and did an acoustic version of "Love of my Life". It was very touching, and it made it seem like Freddie was truly missed but would never be forgotten. The biggest shock of the night was when Brian May started to talk about how another artist stole a riff they had written, which of course is Under Pressure! This was a song that no one was expecting to hear, and it came out very well. Kudos has to go out to Brian May for trying to singing a good chunk of Freddie's part of the song, despite not being able to sing that high.
Again, this was a great concert! I really cannot put into words just how amazing it was. I have uploaded the better pictures into my pictures folder for you to enjoy.
Also, the boyfriend came over and spent the night for our two year anniversary. I won't bore you with the details from that, except that I'm feeling terribly happy right now!
Happy easter, one and all!
