Edited to add: Oh holy Christ... I'm never leaving!!!!!!!
Edited to add: Not Long Now...
The day has finally almost come! My plane leaves tomorrow afternoon to take me away from the insanity of work for 10 glorious days of sun, fun and drunken debauchery. Not to mention the largest motorcycle rally in the world! Look out Sturgis, here I come! Hope everything goes great for everyone while I'm away. Drop me a note to let me know what you've got planned for the next 10 days and I'll read 'em when I get back...that way I'll know what you've been up to while I was in the land of no computer. Hell, I'll be lucky if even get cell reception out there! Hold down the fort for me and try to have a blast. I know I will !!!
Life has been, well, pretty much like life lately...
There've been ups and downs, as is to be expected. In the down category, I'd say the days without power qualify. First there was the tree that came crashing down across the only entance to my dead end street courtesy of the 12 inches of rain that fell around here. Yeah, I just love flooding. Luckily, I'm on top of the highest hill in the county, so I didn't have to deal with much of that... unless you count having my 15 minute drive to work become over an hour thanks to the bridges that were out. The tree was a royal PITA, though, because it came down in the middle of a TeamRockstar shoot weekend and was what we returned to find after our trip to Jim Thorpe, PA. That wonderful tree knocked out power for all of 5 customers, so you can guess how urgent it was for the power company to fix. Went out Saturday around 7, finally got power midday Monday. Then came this Tuesday... cold front in, 15 minute storm from hell wreaks havoc. 6 million other poor souls without power to keep me company this time. Can you imagine the ice shortage that creates? Luckily, beer and soft drinks don't go bad, and that's all I've got in my fridge. Finally got power back sometime in the early hours of this morning. Oh well, at least I got a break from the 98 degree/90% humidity bullshit, even if it was short lived.
On the upside, the grass-in-the-road idiot (see last blog entry) isn't an idiot afterall, just never thought about it. True to my word, I rode by the next Friday to find him mowing his yard again, but this time he pointed the mower to throw the clippings in his yard and not in the road. I was so impressed that I had to stop to thank him. He recognized me... er, my bike, rather... and apologized for causing my prior incident of 'Tokyo Drift' before I could even get the stand down on the bike. We talked for a bit, about bikes mostly, and it turns out he's actually a nice guy. There are decent people left in the world... go figure. On top of that, my trip out to Sturgis is only 2 weeks away! Half a million bikes, open country to ride in, and 10 days to enjoy it... I suspect it will do a body good.
I'm off to NYC on Saturday for another adventure in my making reality of a long-time obsession. After two productive sessions and two cancelled attempts due to ze artiste being swamped, all I can say is... all you knuckleheads taking up her time just back off! Yes Girlie, I'm talking to you!
Signing off for now, but be sure to go give some love to Maxi for her latest set (Matinee)... brought to you by the ever-awesome Maxi herself and the monkeys at TeamRockstar. (I'm the monkey holding the flashlight in the last shot )

Yep, I'm probably going to be busy until the evening or so, but I'm on my own from 9ish on. Were you planning on going to the Sex Slaves show? The friend I'm staying with has non-Palo plans that night so I'm venturing out alone.

How'd you almost break a few bones now? Are you okay?
