Some weekends are just GREAT!!!
So after work last Friday I headed out to NYC expecting traffic from hell for the Memorial Day Weekend and was shocked to make it door-to-door in 2.5 hours. Whodathunkit? Apparently, the 5 boroughs of NY empty for Memorial day as Southbound traffic would have sucked. So, after the disappointment of finding out that nothing had gotten accomplished on my latest obsession due to too much work from the NYC Tattoo Convention the week before, I crashed at tmronin's place before TeamRockstar headed out for Boston, sans Girlie. She had a good excuse though... it was her anniversary so go give her and NBK66 some love. ( )
I've said it before but it bears saying again... either Bostonians are some of the best people on the planet, or I've just had the luck to meet the right ones. Saturday we checked in at hotel Lexie, Palo and Murkling, who were gracious enough to put us up and put up with us for the night before a SG shoot with the ever charming Kyra. (You Rock!) before heading out to Aleksandria's B-day bash. Who's on fire? Aleksandria's on fire! Someone put her out! A great time was had by all (I hope) and I was lucky enough to cross paths with the always delightful Granny and former SGs Hellah and Kera. Flash_Rockman and Bowie were also there on two wheels (Guys, we gotta go ride!), then we called it a night in prep for the next day.
Sunday began with some non-SG tattoo shots of Bowie, followed by a SG shoot with the charming Miss Palo. I didn't really get to talk with Palo during our last whirlwind visit, so it was nice to have some time to socialize this time around. If you ever get the chance to meet her, you should. Then it was off with Palo in tow to retrieve the magnificent cutie that is Lexie from the drudgery called work before her SG shoot at a local hotel, which was followed by a Palo+Lexie shoot. All of us in SGLand don't deserve it, but they brought it to us anyway.
So after tmronin and I installed the damned hotel AC ourselves, we were able to get at least most of a night's sleep before taking off for a shoot with Scarlett, followed by a set with a SG hopeful friend of hers and then a set of the two of them together! I had not met either of these girls before and all I can say is, 'Yep, you're RockStars!' It was a pleasure to meet both of you. After that, lunch was calling all of us so we headed out for a quick bite before tmronin and I had to say our farewells and head back to NYC. Then I had the ultimate suck of driving back home to find out that my cat had on the couch, in the living room and in the hall... thanks kitty.
All in all, though, it was a great weekend filled with the usual TeamRockstar adventures (Yep, we were late. ), getting to see great folks we already knew and meeting some new ones! I hope everyone in SGLand had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and go give tmronin some . He put a lot into these sets in addition to having to replace some expensive dead equipment. Trust me, you're going to love them!!!
