Well this semester has finally kicked into gear as I just realized I have come very far in the UM History Program. As it will stand by the end of this semester, I will only have four or so courses related to my major (mostly American history, ugh). I'm stoked about it, which means I can devote a lot of my upcoming time with my newly thought of art minor. Yes, the job opportunities will just open up after I graduate with History and Art.
In other current events *ahem, ladies* there is a plethora of prospects. Well, not a plethora, just a couple, but let's say that they are far more attractive and dedicated to college than those two from last semester. Thank goodness nothing came of that. I think in my last journal I mentioned a girl from my History 340 and 284 class introducing herself to me after class. Since last Wednesday, when we see each other we smile and exchange greetings. On Monday, I caught up with her right after class and we walked and talked for a while. She was quite receptive and friendly and kept the conversation going. Yes, Courtney is a definite possibility. We'll see if something happens and I can "make a move" so to speak. And yes, I am this cool.
In other prospect related news, the bus-girl from earlier this semester (who suddenly vanished from my Tuesday/Thursday bus schedule) surfaced today! I was pretty excited about it and we smiled and made eye contact. I wasn't flustered or not feeling confident enough to talk to her, but she got off near the dorms, and I refuse to set foot anywhere near them for ex-related reasons. But, seeing as that is completely petty, if she's on the same bus I am, I'm totally going in for the kill.
Not much else to say really. My car is still at Import Motors and they haven't called me with any information. Hopefully I'll hear from them before the week is over.
Lately, I've been kicking around the idea of studying abroad. Since my Spanish skills are quite limited and I have no desire to study in Spain, I'm sort of stuck with England and other UK nations. I found this organization, CIEE, that specializes in English-based programs all over the world, even if English is a secondary language. As it stands, I'm looking at Eastern Europe: Czech Republic, Hungary, and Latvia. Finland is nice too, but it's not offered through CIEE.
The prospect of studying abroad is more attractive now that Drake and Lauren are gone next fall, but I still have to worry about credit and class transfers if I decide to leave. It's still a matter that has to be discussed with my folks and I'll have to look at the situation from all angles.
Oh, just to leave everyone with a good feeling, I sat next to this total asshole on the bus today. Apparently this dick managed to scrap together a date, with a vegetarian, and planned on taking her to Outback Steakhouse. All he kept saying was, "I'm gonna order a rib-eye, bloody rare, and eat it with my hands just to make fun of her for not eating meat." Good job dickhole, now you can officially look like the neanderthal you are. Christ I hate people.
Still in a good mood from seeing my bus-girl. Yeah, I'm cool.
Oh, what the hell is gmail?
