Let's see here, nothing new to report except for the weekend wrap up, which in itself wasn't exactly spectacular.
The fabled "Last LAN Party Until 2006" took place Friday night. Far be it for me to criticize and choose the company of the evening, but some of those kids involved just flat out got on my nerves. Eventually I left to seek out something a little less annoying and found myself at Amber's house. She said there was a planned Christmas movie/eating cookies night of fun planned, but alas that did not happen. Amber took a shower while I talked to her roommate-- nothing too exciting. Seeing that nothing was tranpiring at her digs, I went back to the LAN until the wee hours of the morning (5:00). Linnea helped me move some of my computer gear back to my apartment and we talked a little, which was more like "gossiped" a lot. I found out that Amber is sort of on the easy side, which totally caught me off guard. You know how there are some people/friends you know/have that you can never picture as "sexual?" Yeah, that's the way I've always pictured Amber.
The extravagance of Friday night did not cross over into Saturday night seeing as I woke up at 4:30 that afternoon. I hung out with KC and played XBox but was seriously annoyed by his antics again. He's obsessed with Velvet Revolver and told me a thousand times last night how they sound like "total 80s metal" and "this is straight up GnR." After that I had the mispleasure of listening to him sing along and relate every fucking Jets to Brazil lyric to me. I finally snapped and there grew an awkward silence for a few minutes. We watched cartoons until 5:00 am and then my car wouldn't start again. What a night!
Today I woke up at 3 in the afternoon, just in time to actually watch the Redskins not lose. Hurray! I'm in the process with a couple buddies to order different parts and build my own computer tower instead of this slightly out of date Dell that I currently own. It'll pay off later in life and with the specs we have now; it's probably going to be under a grand, so I'm pleased so far.
Now the obligatory paragraph or two about ladies. I really, really wish that Jaime will show up tomorrow because I'm definately in the mood to ask her out for some tea. So far she has seemed receptive in the (very) brief conversations we've had in class. She seems like a good conversationist and I can hold my own-- I guess we'll just have to see what the stork of good fortune brings me tomorrow.
I guess that's it. I need to get my car fixed and I also need to go back to the tattoo parlor that did my lip piercing. I'm not sure if it's infected or what (last week they said it looked great) but there's some sort of strangeness going on. That and I'm going to opt for a ring instead of this bar. The exciting rollercoaster that is my life!
