* As I was waiting to get on the bus after work (wearing all black), there were 2 drunk men sitting together on the benches at the Bus Stop -- one looked about one-hundred-and-thirty years old and wasn't moving all that much, while the other was somewhat younger (mid to late fifties) and busy belting out a few tunes as he... The only drunk men at bus stops around Portland are usually homeless and I think it's probably a rarity when they brighten someone's day. Although a bum did try to sell a friend some spiders he made out of twistyties. I thought that was a great idea. I'd've bought some if it had been me.
I don't do movies very often.
J and I just met for dinner, but we had a great talk. She's got some issues with communicating, which is why I haven't been pursuing her lately. Too frustrating trying to develop a relationship with someone who never calls and rarely answers the phone. Aloof is probably the best word to describe her. But we always seem to have a good time together.
Portland, Oregon. It's so laid back and the people are so great. It's a nice size too.....has all the culture of a big city without being too overwhelmingly large. And it's gorgeous to boot! Portland is the birthplace of SuicideGirls, actually.
But I went to uni there, and I don't trust myself to not turn into one of those creepy alumnists who is always on campus.
I really wanted to get to Sydney, but I wasn't able to get enough time off of work. I might apply to work at Southern Star some day, and they're based in Sydney....
I believe that, in a disgustingly ironic twist of fate, many of the things that we ardently disregard or cut down in a cynical manner, inevitaby become part of our destiny ...
you know... one thing I really respect in a person, is the guts to interfere, or just take a stand... it doesn't happen very often, but when it does, to me that really is a sign of intelligence and strenght.
I was living around Hope Island, in Gold Coast.....didn't really get a chance to see the country as I was working the whole time. I took a one-week holiday and got up as far as Cape Tribulation, but I never left QLD.
I don't think I've ever met someone else who had read My Name is Asher Lev. (Unless I made them....) Yay you!
I have to work ALL day today ... I hate when that happens! ...At least I will get away from this fucking computer for a little while ... my head is slowly morphing into the size and shape of my monitor ... not. good.
Thanks for the comments. Funny how I do projects for the cats, but rarely do anything practical for the house. You'll have to add some more pics of your kids.
I just requested the "friendship" of a kitten on here -- Lordy, I do hope he accepts
Just bought The Walkmen's album, "Bows + Arrows" ... very happy about this ... "The Rat" is a great track ... Some of the other tracks have a bit of a Strokes feel about them ... still, a great album ...
I have never been asked that before, Um to be honest I really don't know. My grandma came from England and my grandfather Australia, so i guess I have a bit of english in me.
hmmm.. seen any bedfords lately??
