Ugh. I don't hate him that much. I'm just riled up over Bush's defense of his position on stem-cell research, as quoted in this NY Times article (registration is required but free):
Life is a creation of God, not a commodity to be exploited by man.
How fucking ignorant. Church and state are separate. Oh, and I sincerely hope the religious right don't decide to use the Pledge ruling as an excuse to blur the line between separation of church and state. O'Connor is the judge I most often agree with, and I agree with her ruling:
Certain ceremonial references to God and religion in our nation are the inevitable consequence of the religious history that gave birth to our founding principles of liberty.
But, President Bush? That's history, jackass! You can't make important, political decisions any more based on what you think your God would want. And by the way? Reagan, the president you model yourself after, would've supported stem-cell research. Want to know why? Because Mrs. Nancy Reagan is an avid supporter of stem-cell research. Nancy, get your ass over there and use your clout to change his mind, okay? And slap him. It'll help make up for your husband's administration ignoring the AIDS Crisis. Well, no, it won't. But we'll hate you less.
And Bastard McBitchy pants should bitch less if he doesn't want that nickname...also he should stop being a bastard.
