I CALLED IT EVERYBODY. I saw that assholes and shit were very popular at Basel 2005. And I said, you know what, vaginas are gonna be HUGE at Art Basel Miami this year. And I was right. About 20% of the artwork there consisted of vaginas -- vaginas in clay, vaginas in neon lights, vaginas in oil paintings, vaginas in C-prints. Vaginas, vaginas, vaginas, vaginas, vaginas! It was vag-tacular!
There was a brief reprieve from vagina around the Boesky/Fontana booths. Lots of cock around those booths, lemme tell ya. They had some John Waters stuff, and they were also selling Rev Jen's book. But it was mostly cock.
Oh! Yeah! And butt fucking is very popular. Thank you, Koons.
Seriously, though. It was nice. I got to see work by De Kooning, Mark Ryden, Yoshitomo Nara, Joseph Beuys (and I was wearing a Joseph Beuys tee shirt!), Marcel Dzama, Toulouse-Lautrec, Frida Kahlo, Max Ernst (dozens! it was awesome), Clive Barker, Dubuffet (I love the butterfly collages), Lucian Freud, Man Ray, William Kentridge, Noguchi, Cindy Sherman, Susan Rothenberg, Nan Goldin, Yves Tanguy, Andy Warhol, Takashi Murakami, and some British artists whose names I can't remember right now.
My legs don't work so well right now.*
*Because they are tired from walking.

Well, if you did this will make sense. If not, sorry for babbling.
I'm on the episode right now where Natasha Melnick guest stars. I got excited because she was just talking about her former life as a high school cheerleader (and Kelly Osbourne described her as a young Republican), and I realized that they gave her Cindy Sanders as her back story.
So yeah. Anyway, I just wanted to mention it to somebody who might get as much of a kick out of it as I did.
