I'm glad you all seemed to really like the tattoos, and for not saying if you didn't. We're all allowed our differences in opinion but since this is something so close to my heart and well, also permanent, sometimes biting your tongue is the best course of action.
I officially hate my job and never want to go back. I have had four days off now and the thought of returning tomorrow is making me nauseous. It's not the job itself per se, but I've been at a call center way too long and it's affecting my health. Try breathing in air that's already been through 400 other lungs. It's quite disgusting looking at it that way, isn't it?
I don't know if I can go into work tomorrow without quitting on the spot.
Ever since I got back from jury duty in late December for a murder case here I have been nothing but sick. In two months I've managed to use up all of my sick AND vacation days for the entire year. If I call in sick again, I'm likely to get my ass fired. It especially bothers me because not one of those sick days used was for something unnecessary. I only called in sick if I was actually sick.
10 sick days + 5 Vacation Days = 15 days missed. Half a month I've missed since January. That's sad.
I would stay to be able to use up my benefits if I could, but in order to go to a dentist or doctor appointment, I would have to book time off work - time I no longer have available to me. I work Monday to Friday, business hours. The same hours the medical offices work.
Also, the boyfriend, as much as I love him isn't being very supportive of my search for a new job. He thinks every job is probably as miserable as the last. I think that sometimes a drop in pay is worth a lot more in the long run, if your health improves because you're doing something you enjoy. You end up making more if you're not calling in sick as much.
What would you do? Get fired for the severance package, even though it looks bad in any future job interview, or save some dignity and quit? What would you say to my boyfriend if you were me?
