So how did last weekend and week go for me?
As I said before, this World Cup tournament has been very surprising and unpredictable. However Germany beating England was not either, Germany are a very solid team and England have not ever performed as a unit, so it would have surprising if England won in my opinion. This weekend the surprises have not stopped, Netherlands knocking out Brazil, Germany destroying Argentina, Ghana unluckily being knocked out and Spain being VERY lucky to go through. Personally I can see it being a Netherlands vs Germany final and that is match I cannot call but would love to see.
The Doctor Who finale was brilliant. I particularly liked how the story is not over, as we still have not met "The Silence" and there are still things left to be explained, sadly though this means waiting a year.
Wimbledon was lots of fun on Monday. We didn't get any court tickets but we did get a great pot on Henman Hill / Murray Mound and everyone got a good tan / burn.
This weekend I finally managed to get my hands on a sonic screwdriver. When I picked it up from Argos I was one of the happiest nerds in the World, especially when I got it home, started flicking it about and playing around with it. Sadly the battery cover wouldn't unscrew, which meant it couldn't make any sounds and that really sucked, so I went from being one the happiest to one of the saddest nerds I went to another Argos store for a replacement, only to have the same issue, so tomorrow I will be going to yet another store and hopefully this time it will work.
:edit: It works! YAY
I have also purchased Lego Harry Potter and I must say it is my favourite of all the Lego games so far. You go through stories / years 1-4, basically you just take part in the key moments but the game does not follow the stories closely, for example the cut scenes to each key moment are SO FAR AWAY from the books / films but damn they are so stupid and funny you don't really care.
On Monday the family and I are going to Love Never Dies, the sequel to Phantom Of The Opera, and I am really looking forward to it. I know it has had mixed reviews and some of the bad reviews are, quite frankly, awful but Phantom' got similar reviews when it first came out. Now Phantom' is almost as old as I am and is still one of the best things I have ever seen on stage.
Beyond that I am just going to be working, potentially doing overtime if this heat eases off and I can actually get some good days sleep, playing more Lego Harry Potter and hopefully playing with a working sonic screwdriver.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and week ahead
That is all from me, for now

The glitter made it a bit like eating frosted unicorn poo. Or Edward Cullen in cupcake form. Delicious either way.

I'm good thanks, although I'm getting very bad at keeping up with blog comments. How about you my dear?
