"Silence will fall"...well it did for quite some weeks but I feel it is time for a proper blog / update.
So what have I been doing since I got back from trip to Toronto, Ontario, Canada?
I have been doing as much overtime as I can physically and mentally do, saving up so I can go back, and hopefully have enough left over so I can FINALLY start getting more tattoos and piercings. I know I have said this many times before and never got anymore done for about two years now but I REALLY do want more and I have finally decided on certain ones to get.
Also I got myself an Air Miles Card, this being American Express it is not widely accepted in retail stores, but it is however accepted on most (if not all) websites. This is also towards my return trip to Toronto. The card I have got comes with a bonus 20,000 Air Miles if I manage to spend GBP 250 within 90 days, now this does sound like a lot of money, especially to someone working part-time in a local supermarket but not if you purchase gig tickets for you and your friends then have them pay you back asap so it can straight back onto your card. The 20,000 air miles will mean I can travel one way to Toronto with BMI for free, then all I will have to do is pay for the return trip, which to me sounds like a great plan I just hope it all works out...
Away from work and Toronto I have been watching as much of World Cup 2010. Much like last seasons English Premier League this tournement has had some impressive, some interesting and some down right shocking results. I am looking forward to watching the final 16 matches, despite having to go to a christening on Sunday, which means I will miss the England v Germany game but I will have my iPhone on checking the scores cheekily throughout HA
I have also been watching and loving the new series of Doctor Who, there has been some great, some weird and some extremely confusing moments throughout this series but I think it is far better than any of the four previous Russell T. Davis ones - THANK YOU Russell for bringing back a great British television science fiction series but Steven Moffat is a much better writer in my opinion. From what many other Who nerds and myself can gather the bits that have not quite made sense this series will do with the series finale this evening. I cannot wait to watch it...I just wish I had my sonic screwdriver but they are sold out EVERYWHERE
Thursday night I saw Coheed And Cambria live at HMV Forum in Kentish Town, London. They were amazing and I loved the projection screen behind them, playing clips from classic horror films. I was also treated to a special acoustic performance of one of their songs before the gig started for being the proud owner of their Black Card, which I recorded it for others' pleasure, enjoy:
So this weekend is looking pretty exciting. Saturday there will be sun, comic books, BBQ and beer, followed by football and the series finale of Doctor Who today. Sunday there will be some kid drowning and crying while I keep up-to-date on a more important football game on my iPhone. Monday the family and I are going to Wimbledon for my mother's birthday, hopefully the weather stays as it is and we can get Centre Court seats (in advance so we don't have to queue and can get in early to walk around the grounds).
I hope everyone will also have an awesome weekend
That is all from me, for now
