Hello one and all
I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Personally my one has been pretty intense.
Friday I had an induction at my local supermarket (J Sainsbury), for a night shift role over the Christmas period, and because it is a night role I applied for the induction was over night - to prove I could actually work the whole shift. From 9pm on Friday night through to 5am on Saturday morning I was watching health and safety videos, which did not help me stay awake, followed by a couple of hours on the shop floor. Overall the shift was not too bad but we will see if that continues.
Saturday I slept through to 2pm, after getting home shortly after 7am that morning, and caught up with 'Children In Need' from the night before. I then practice my Wing Tsun for an hour, before having dinner and watching some Saturday family television, which included 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'The X-Factor'.
I had to be up and at my Wing Tsun School by 10am, this meant I needed to sleep by midnight, but as I had barely been awake for 10 hours I was simply not tired. So come Sunday morning I only got around four/five hours sleep, which meant I was not refreshed and ready for the Chi-Sau Seminar and the Grading afterwards. The seminar was REALLY fun, if I had the money I would have loved to of gone for the whole five days, Chi-Sau is all about feeling where your opponent is and being able to block/strike without seeing an attack. After five hours of Chi-Sau training we then had our grading, this went on for EIGHT HOURS, ok only four of those hours were physically challenge but this was my first grading event and I cannot believe it did not finish until 12:30am Monday morning. It was so intense, I loved it, pushing my body way beyond I thought I could. The grading itself went well, though it could have gone SO much better, as I was just not mentally or physically in it but I am yet to hear either way.
Luckily I got home in time for WWE Survivor Series, which I must say is one of the best Pay-Per-Views World Wrestling Entertainment has produced in a long time, I dont think there was a single match which under performed.
Monday I woke up close to 3pm, I have not slept this long in years, but clearly my body needed to crash out. When I arose my chest, shoulders, arms and legs ached like never before which just made me feel really proud of myself for not giving up on Sunday and pushing myself to keep going.
Today is first proper shift at Sainsburys, hopefully I can stay awake like I did the last time, and that I get a decent department to work on.
That is all for now
