The Sci-Fi Film Festival is coming back to London in April-May
I have registered my details, in the hope to be a volunteer, *fingers crossed*
Sticking with the film theme, here are some films which I am personally looking forward to see in 2009, some may already be out but most our making their way to a cinema near you.
Push - 06-Feb-09
Looks like a movie version of Heroes staring the amazing young actress, Dakota Fanning.
State of Play - 17-Apr-09
Doubtful it will beat the TV show, which stared greats like Bill Nighy, Philip Glenister and John Simm, but the movie cast is not too shabby and the plot is a good enough to give the big screen version a try.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - 01-May-09
Bryan Singer is back at the helm of the X-Men movie franchise, need I say more.
Watchmen - 06-Mar-09
This film is most certainly going to be a love it or hate, and I can personally see it being another Spider-Man 3, where comic book fans hate and naturals love it.
9 - 09-Sept-09
Jointly produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov. I don't know about anyone else but that is enough to get me interested in this film.
Terminator Salvation - 22-May-09
Christian Bale in a sci-fi war film, full or robotic carnage, but sadly not an Arnie in sight.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prine - 17-Jul-09
Yes, I know, the films suck arse compared to the books and the "acting" butchering even worse to handle. Despite this, and I am sure I'm not the only one, I will be going to the cinema to see the penultimate Harry Potter film.
Star Trek - 08-May-09
There is seriously nothing I can write here, it's Star Trek, Come On! haha
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
Time to see how the Vampire/Lycan war began
That is all the films I can think, for now, but I am sure there are more set for release in 2009
