It's not a habit, it's cool
I feel alive
If you don't have it your on
the other side
I'm not an addict (maybe that's a lie)

It's over now, I'm cold, alone
I'm just a person on my own
Nothing means a thing to me
Oh, nothing means a thing to me

Free me, leave me
Watch me as I'm going down
Free me,...

My one day off in seven will involve watching DVR'd shows (I still want to say Tivo'd, I miss the Tivo), doing laundry, thinking about vacuuming, and eventually driving to KoP to record the Eagles/Cowboys game for my dad who's in Florida right now.... about to see the Red Sox/Rays @ Tampa Bay. Grrrr. The only reason I'm not dying of jealously and refusing to...

Hello. I see 2 because one is actually a therapist. I see her weekly. The other guy I see montly writes my scripts. Funny, my support system is mostly professionals as my family isn't much help. My one daughter (26), who lived with me for a while wouldn't lift a finger to help me unless I paid her....and the other one just flat out hates my guts. I guess that stems from being drunk for 25 years. (7 1/2 years sober now).

So, combine the pain with the crazy head.....throw in trying to remain sober and taking care of my father and I'm pulling off quite a balancing act....haha. I guess that explains my being 'painfully single' since around 2001.

Hope you have a fun day......I know I'll try to......... biggrin

Hmm. I just spent the last hour reviewing the last five years of my life via this journal. Consensus: I don't drink as much as I used to (more's the pity), I still use nerdy akward phrases like, "more's the pity," and I spend a lot of time lusting after women and being in bad relationships with men. On the upside, I seem to have...

Greetings,
Always great to have new friends. I believe we spoke ( or wrote) a while back, when you were still in K of P. I think I told you I lived in Beaverton for a couple years and my ex inlaws lived in Lake Oswego.
I like your description of ' just treading water'. It sound a lot like me. Because I live in chronic pain, my goals are limited to short term.....like making it through the day without slamming my head into a wall.
OK, I'm starting to babble on....... smile

Have a fun day ! biggrin

I fuckin' love the movie "Death Proof," best fucking ending EVER!!!! Any movie with a combination of bad bitches and muscle cars where the serial killer/'rapist' gets beat till he cries is enough to make me come!

*ahem* I mean... go check it out, it's nifty. mad love biggrin

Life is much better at the moment. Work is much better, I am working 3p-3a in the ICU which is a better drive home for me and I am feeling much more confident. Andrew finally came around, and although sex is still a long way off because he's still sick, just being touched in a loving way again has made my energy level skyrocket. That,...

holy shit, it's been awhile. I've actually been avoiding this site like the plague because my love life is in the shitter and the thought of looking at beautiful sexy people that I can't touch when I haven't had sex with the person I'm living with in months makes me want to peel my skin off and shower with salt. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty fucking...

Damn phillies. 'least the sox are winning :o) I'm resorting to "watching" gameday on mlb.com so that I won't get caught up in the game and forget to go to sleep. Hopefully I'll wake up blissfully relaxed and ecstatic in the knowledge that Beckett and the Sawks kicked ass!

Lovely day today, despite the wavering between sticky warm and cool. Walked around the hospital campus more today, but still didn't explore West Reading proper - want to save that for when Andrew can come with me. I think he'll really like the funky little shops, I love the feel of the main street, and there is a defiinite lack of the crappy stores that...

You are beautiful. You amaze me, and...just, thanks. I just got home, about an hour ago (8am) and this has been the best fuckin' birthday in years. So much better than 21. I can't even describe... A nice meal with family and friends, and then hit the bar with a few unexpected friends... and then a "campfire".... listening to pink floyd and passing jameson, feeding...
