::resurfaces from geekdom:: Finished the Harry Potter book at 11pm of the day I got it, after reading until 2am, sleeping, reading 8a-11am, breakfast and an outing for fresh air, reading, dinner, reading.
Fantastic book, very pleased with this one. Shorter than the last, which is an improvement, and packed with action and plot. One of my favorite parts - unlike the past 5 books, the first two chapters of this one don't even have Harry in them which made for a nice change. Both Harry and Dumbledore are likeable again, unlike their book 5 counterparts which were annoying as hell at times.
Chatted with Tim the demo guy, who is twice my age, about the book and he pointed out that Harry was so irritating in the last book because he's a teenager who yells and acts like an idiot around girls. I agreed and said it was probably irritating for me because those years are still witihin vibrant memory for me so they're extra irritating for reminding me of my own behavior
Work at 5a, gah. BED!
