I hope that you are having a beautiful day. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for being in the SG community. I have been listening and want to let you know that I understand how challenging it is to submit a photoset to SG and obtain SOTD. I admire all the models for their vulnerability and bravery to submit photosets. SG has grown in popularity from a little site where I took all of the photos exclusively, into an international brand with models and members from every continent on earth. It has become a globally recognized brand that has been around for 20 years and has a larger social media following than Playboy and similar publications. We have nearly 20 million social media followers between Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter, Youtube and OnlyFans. The site has really taken off since I first started it over 20 years ago and it has become incredibly difficult to be selected for SOTD.
That much attention has created a lot of interest in becoming a model for the site. I know it can be a huge disappointment when great sets come out each month and some are over looked. Just because a set is not selected as SOTD instantly does not mean it never will be, that it is not good, or that you are not worthy. You are all beautiful and unique and deserve to be celebrated. Which is why we created member review in the first place. There were so many incredible sets being submitted that we had to reject each month and it was wrong because the girls deserved feedback and we needed the members help to select the sets. There are AMAZING sets in MR, by some incredible models and photographers that have yet to be bought. That does not mean that they won’t be either, they just haven’t been yet.
As I explained in my PREVIOUS POST we use a proprietary process to select SOTD that we have utilized for 20 years, and do not plan to change. Our proprietary process for selecting sets of the day takes into account the number of likes a set has gotten divided by the number of hours it’s been up, a set that has 2000 likes in 3 weeks may look more popular than a set that has 500 likes in an hour, but actually according to our metric, the set with 500 like in an hour is weighted higher. We have all kinds of changing priorities for the site like showcasing models of color, different body types, models who have huge following on other platforms, models who have a style or look we feel is under represented, models of all ages, and sometimes sets that haven’t done as well in MR are selected to meet those objectives. It’s not entirely a pure contest of likes, but after reviewing the selected sets of the day over the last 20 years it’s hard to not see that member likes/time are a major criteria in our selection.
The statistics make SOTD a difficult goal to achieve, but not unattainable.
To help everyone understand how tough it is to make it as SOTD, we receive over 10,000 set submissions a month and of those submissions we publish about 500 on the site. Of those 500 published on the site only 60 sets a month are selected as SOTD.
The numbers show how incredibly competitive and challenging it is to be selected as SOTD and why it is a huge accomplishment. BUT SOTD is not the only reason to be a part of SG. It is one very small portion of the site. We have incorporated MR and Hopefuls into the site and promote them as well on our social media and the experience for Hopefuls can be similar to being an SG in many ways.All models can:
• Make friends from all around the world
• Find business partners and life partners
• Be a part of the most supportive community on the internet
• Earn tips
• Livestream
• Blog, share candid photos & videos, and express yourself
• Promote your social media accounts, and advertise your individual pay sites like OnlyFans (appropriately)
• Have a chance at being promoted on SG’s social media, which builds up your own following
• Become a more experienced model and build memories
• Perhaps get SOTD
If your only goal in being a part of the SG experience is to be SOTD I encourage you to look at the many potential opportunities available to you. Please do not focus on the disappointment for not yet achieving a dream. SG is an opportunity for learning, growing, and enjoying the journey / process as every model has a different experience on SG. I want to provide more transparency in response to feedback I have received over the past month and hope this insight helps explain the process more for those interested.
