Am now on my 5th failed venepuncture in a row I'm pretty sure thats not massively bad, but its still starting to give me the fear...

I find myself stressing the point to every patient i approach now that, Yes, i am a student, and if they want to wait for a doctor to take their sample thats totally their right, and im really ok with that...really....just say...i dont mind, honest....
I don't know what's more embarrassing- my inability to locate and pierce a vein (despite teaching), or my complete and total lack of stones. I just can't lie to their sweet little old faces and tell them i know what i'm doing, or that this wont hurt a bit They remind me to much of my Gran(s).

Also, i need a self destructive behaviour that doesn't involve scones...
To the piercing parlour! Hmmm, septum, nipple or navel......
