[[ Prepare yourself, folks. This is a long one + image heavy! ]]
I was recently inspired by a few other blogs to take a trip down SG memory lane! I first became an SG Hopeful back in June/July of 2009! I honestly can't believe how long it's been! I wanted to take a look back at all of my submitted sets, and see just how much things have changed! It's crazy, I feel like I was a totally different person living a totally different life when I started this awesome adventure! Want to join me for a quick stroll down memory lane? ♥
This photo here is a combination from my first ever set from 2009 with @RonInTally, and my most recent set I shot with @Lady 4 months ago. I can't believe how much I've changed since then, and how much my life has changed!
Where should we start? From the beginning, I'd assume! Here we go...
Here's a few of the shots I was able to find of Ron and I's first 2 sets together! I had wanted to be an SG since I was a teenager, but never had the courage to try. Then I met my [now] husband and he told me "The only way you'll absolutely fail, is if you never try." So I shot Ron a message on MySpace and we scheduled my first ever photo shoot there in our apartment! Fun Fact: The dark blue walls with hearts were the walls of my bedroom/living room at the time. That was just how our apartment looked! The super bright neon-green walls were from the kitchen, obviously! ;)
I can't believe this was 7 years ago already! Holy schnitzel!!
A lot of time and a lot of life passed by before I shot more sets. When the time came, I wanted to try something a little different and shot "Me Time" in my best friend's apartment with @RonInTally. My body and posing have changed so much since I shot this set. Fun fact: During the shooting of this set was the first time my, then soon-to-be-best friend, had seen me naked, lol. She even helped pose me (and pose my hair, lol.) Also, someone on the other side of the street watched us shoot all of the outside shots, haha.
After "Me Time" came out, we took a trip the beach over my birthday weekend and shot "Twilight Dip" while the sun as setting. Fun fact: I'm fucking TERRIFIED of the ocean/murky water. It's absolutely an irrational fear I have of being attacked by some kind of horrifying sea monster from the paleolithic era, lol. We were also, maybe, only 20 feet or so from a major road leading out to the beach.
I started saving up my monies to shoot with my favorite staff photographer of the time, Alissa Brunelli! I drove down to Miami for the night while Alissa was in town and met her and @Luscious for the first time! I decided to just stay true to my nature in this set: Nerdy & Geeky Gamer Girl, lol. Fun Fact: This was mt first set to ever go live and turn me Pink! This was also my first time taking a trip away from home by myself! (I'm such a baby!) ♥

After Miami, Alissa convinced me to come to the Hell City tattoo convention in Phoenix, Arizona! This my first time meeting other SG's (I was still a Hopeful at the time). It was also the first time I met @Sean! He was so kind to me. We talked about our favorite songs from the Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and he even offered to shoot a set with me! I was so humbled and flattered to shoot with him! Fun Fact: This was the last set I shot as a Hopeful before going Pink!

Hell City was so good, and I finally had a set bought, so I saved my pennies for another 6 months to go to an amazing SG ShootFest in Ohio with Alissa Brunelli and a ton of other SG's! We shot this set in the window of the tattoo studio I would later get my full sleeve tattooed at, Red Tree Studio in Coumbus, OH! Fun Fact: We took some shots through the window and perfectly captured someone gawking as they drove by. Fun times, lol! What was even better was that I got to sit in on some amazing sets shot by other SG's like Damsel, Ackley, Zephyr, Damone, Michaelangela, and so many other lovely ladies! I miss those days ♥

Before I left, I got to meet the fabulous @Phecda for the first time! Right before we shot our set "Playtime" in Alissa's house before I caught my flight home! I absolutely adore her and wish I got to see her more! Fun Fact: We were playing one of the Lego series games, I don't remember which. A lot of people tried to call out this set on FB saying that we don't game... LOL. If they only knew how much time we spend gaming!

I was so thrilled to have made so many new friends in Ohio, that I jumped at the chance to be part of an AMAZING SG ShootFest at a mantion in the Vegas hills! I had never been to Vegas before! (I've since been back another 4 times!) This was easily one of the most memorable few days of my life! I shot quite a few sets there, though one I never got a chance to see. I've kicked myself forever for not taking the opportunity to shoot with LabRat while I was there, but I did get to shoot with the amazing @Sawa and @DarrylDarko!

Bonus group shot from the day we all left to go back home! I can't seem to find the HD image anywhere on the net, lol. I tried.
Next winter, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to host a dashing photographer by the name of @CorwinPrescott on my couch as he passed through Florida while he was shooting his "50 Girls, 50 States" book. We shot this in my backyard. It was my first set featuring my [then] new orange tresses! Fun Fact: I have astigmatism and need glasses to see clearly. I lost these glasses about 3 years ago and everything has been blurry ever since, lol.

Some of you know that I've managed a smoke shop in Florida for the last few years, and before that I worked at our oldest location, which opened in 1970. We sell a ton of old records there, and we originally started as a music store! Everyone online kept saying how much I look like Donna from 'That 70's Show' with my new hair color. What came next seemed only natural! @Sunshine came through town and we shot "Hot Donna" one day before my store opened! Fun Fact: Bryan Cranston's latest movie filmed a scene in front of that shop, and it show up in the new movie trailer!

It was another year, if not more, before I finally shot another set for the site. Sunnie came back to Florida and got a bunch of lovely ladies together for another ShootFest that weekend! I had since met local babe @Saturn through a mutual friend and we decided to indulge in our mutual love of all things Sailor Moon and shot our "Sailor Scouts" set! Fun Fact: We both already owned our Sailor Scout lingerie. We didn't buy it just for the shoot. ;)

Some more time passed. Some more awesome things happened. "Sailor Scouts" ended up being my third set to get purachased, and my second multi set! I took a trip to Ohio to stay with my beloved @King while I got my sleeve worked on. @SmashBase and @Lady braved the winter cold to drive down from Michigan so we could all shoot together! I couldn't be happier with how things turned out! Fun Fact: I has just finished shooting an international ad campaign in Miami a few days prior, and my skin and hair had been dyed purple during the shoot! I can't believe I was able to sort myself out for the shoot, lol.

So much has happened in between all of this amazing fun I've had, I don't even know how to include everything here! I've been to Vegas, New York, and everywhere in between over the years! I shot a commercial and was featured in both Inked Magazine this year AND Sport's Illustrated! And I can safely say none of this would ever had happened if I hadn't followed my dreams of becoming an SG! I can't wait to see where the coming years take me! And thank you for taking this adventure with me! ♥
